Besides all the posts I owe about my daughter’s birthday party, also my super fabulous birthday part was on this past Saturday night. It was amazing, but I can not take any of the credit. I have been working about 50-60 hours a week and focused on my daughter’s party so I did not have time to plan a party for myself. My bestie offered to host the party for me and she did the most fabulous job ever! I was blown away and she did a much better job than I ever could have done! (And that is saying a lot!) Although she was in process of caring for her two small kids full-time, selling a house and buying a new house… she did a wonderful job and made it a night to remember! I will chronicle everything for my readers soon and you will be amazed! This is a photo of my bestie and I (I’m on the right). We don’t look to bad for a couple of forty-year olds’ do we? (Well, she’s not forty, until next year anyway!) Boy, do I owe her for this one! Big time!
I’ve noticed I have a LOT of pictures of cocktails on my phone. Whenever I go out with the hubby or my lady friends for dinner, I like to try a new cocktail. If I like it, I take a picture. Apparently, based on the number of pics I have on my phone, I’ve never met a cocktail I didn’t like. Ha! So I’ll make a post soon with an ode to cocktails.
Here is a picture update of our garden.
And the super yummy herb garden. We reconstructed the two small herb gardens we have and I bought really cute markers for each herb. There are seven in all.
This is my latest party! My daughter’s 2nd Birthday and the theme was M&M Party! Surprisingly there are very few purchasable party items with this theme so almost everything is made by me, and will be available for free download!
For this party I made M&M Balloons, M&M Cookies, Cupcakes, Water Bottles, an Exploding M&M Cake with Surprise M&Ms in the Middle, Special M&M Ice Cream Cones, Round Colored Ice Cubes, an M&M Table Cloth, Rainbow Table Skirt, M&M Ribbons, M&M T-Shirts, M&M Food Lables and various other items! Over the next few weeks, I will post the how-to instructions for all of these items. The links to each post will appear in the comments section at the bottom.
I have made another upgrade to my blog. Unfortunately it took a lot of invested time on my part, much more than I had planned. Through hard work and diligence (and freeware) I converted my logo to have a transparent background so I can tag my most important photos with it. It was a pain in the backside! But now all of my featured photos will now include my website logo!
Two Parties On the Way!
My birthday is July 11 and my daughter Brie’s birthday is July 10th. It was not planned at all, she was several weeks early unfortunately. However, no harm done, except I tend to completely forget my birthday now! I have been working feverishly for a few months on my daughter’s upcoming birthday (which will be splashed all over this site, no doubt). This year, however, is my 40th. So originally I planned to have a party, but then dropped the idea. My bestie would have nothing of me canceling my party and she offered to host the party for me! So you will also soon see my pics of my fabulous party as well!
Every year we go to a local blueberry farm to pick berries. This year we picked blueberries and blackberries!
And the best part is enjoying all the homemade blueberry flavored treats they have at the farm! We ate blueberry ice cream and brought home some yummy blueberry breakfast bread.
