I am sorry for my absence in making more “personalized posts” to my blog lately. I had several party entries lined up for auto post for the past three weeks and I’ve been so busy with “real” work for my paying job the last three weekends. So I have not had the time to do my regular Tuesday Confessionals or other more personal entries. So I apologize and I promise to be back soon! Also I have not had time to visit my favorite blogs and I miss them very much! I haven’t abandoned you, just have been too busy to think. Since this is a holiday weekend and I have no work planned, I will make the rounds and catch up on what has been transpiring in your lives for the last three weeks. I also have several more posts which I need to make and schedule to post on my own blog. I just have to make the time to do so.
Want to make a cool cake that is really easy, will impress everyone and shock your kids? Make an Exploding M&M Cake with real M&M’s in the middle! When you cut into this cake, the M&M’s cascade out in a wonderful delectable surprise!

I also used this same cake for my son’s Lorax themed party.
To make this super cool cake, you need a special giant cupcake pan made by Wilton.
Fill it with one cake mix of your choice, and bake.
Then trim the top of the cupcake bottom and the bottom of the cupcake top so they are both flat.
Then scoop out a section in the middle of the cupcake bottom after it has cooled. (DO NOT bake the M&Ms in the cake or put them inside the cake while it is still hot, it will not work!)
Fill the center with M&M’s! I used one individual sized bag of M&Ms.
Put the top section on, and then ice it however you choose to.
For my daughter’s 2-year birthday party, I selected M&M’s as the theme. Because my daughter LOVES M&Ms, who doesn’t?! To make the party super fun, I made these round colored ice cubes to look like M&M’s. Maybe they don’t look as similar to M&M’s as I wanted them to, but the kids and adults still loved them!

To make these super cool creations, you have to buy a special ice tray. Then just add a bit of food coloring to some water and fill the tray. You can use them in water or clear soda to make a cool punch.
My daughter’s 2-year birthday party was a huge blast. To make any party the most fun for the kids, you MUST have “goodie bags” aka treat bags. These are fun bags with toys and gifts the kids take home with them from the party. (They keep the kids busy in the car all the way home!)
The theme of this party was M&Ms and you can find the entire post here:
The only materials needed are primary color bags, tissue paper, card stock and glue. Plus goodies of course! Print the free download printable below on card stock (select 5×7 size photos) and then cut them out and glue them onto the bags.
My most recent party was the M&Ms Theme Party for my daughter’s 2-year birthday. For the entire post, see here:
This post is about the awesome food labels I made!
They are super fun and all you have to do is download the free printable file below, edit them to list the food you want and print them on card stock. Have fun!
Free Downloadable Template, just print this on card stock, cut out the cards around the lines and fold them in half.
