Dear Louisa- Thank You!

I am dedicating a post this week to a blogger I adore.  She recently honored me on her blog site and I would like to recognize her and her wonderfulness!

Blog entry with me in it!

As a stipulation to receiving the recognition on her website, I am bequeathed to do these five things:
1.       Thank the person who nominated you
2.       List 5 random facts about yourself
3.       Nominate a MAXIMUM of 3 blogs for the award
4.       Ask the nominees 5 questions of your choice
5.       Let them know you have nominated them
6.       Promise to never listen to Justin Bieber again (that was Reluctant Mom’s personal touch) OR (my add on) FOLLOW HIM ON TWITTER. So there.

So here goes:
1. Thank you so much Louisa from WeezaFish
2.  Five interesting things about myself:
  1. I spent a summer in Israel working at archeological digs.
  2. My maiden name is Peace.
  3. I studied an ancient Greek language called Koinea and was almost fluent, but I’ve forgotten most of it.
  4. I collected Unicorns when I was a child/teenager and had a huge number of them.  I sold most of them but kept some pieces for a future daughter I might have- now, do have.
  5. I have more friends who are my age with GRANDCHILDREN the same age as my children, than I have friends my age who have CHILDREN my kid’s ages.
3. Not sure if I can re-nominate Louisa’s blog since she nominated mine, so I will go with three different ones:
4. Not sure what questions to ask…sorry going to flake out on this one.
5. Let them know you have nominated them (Done)
6. Promise to never listen to Justin Bieber again OR FOLLOW HIM ON TWITTER. Never have, never will.

  1. Thank you soooo much, I really appreciate it! Your maiden name is Peace, wow that is so cool. I still love unicorns.

  2. Oh bless you, you are so welcome Steph. You’re a very interesting lady and your blog reflects it. Shiny like a mirror! Peace is SUCH a cool surname. Do people expect your family to be peaceful folks all the time?! And who knew you spoke Koinean! Well, used to. I’d be all showing-it-off in company. But then I’d meet someone who really DID speak it fluently, and make an arse of myself. But hey, that’s just me … :)

    • Ha, I actually did do that. Koinea is a version of Greek and when I was doing the archeological work, I met some Greeks there. I tried to talk with them, and yeah, sounded like an ass. LOL They were very understanding though.
About my last name, it’s a long very convoluted story, but my mother was married to a guy with last name Peace. He was not my father and the week after I was born they already divorced. So all of my life, I was the only person in my family with that last name, until I got married. I never thought much about it, but several people have commented how they thought it was cool. Ha
