Video Shoot

Since my son was 6 months old and my daughter was born, they have had a small side-gig doing modeling and now it has advanced into acting.  My son has been featured in a few smaller things such as catalogs, websites, etc. but this week he was cast in his first more important role for Six Flags Over Texas’s new commercial for their revamped children’s area.  It’s a regional TV spot and he had a lot of fun.  I don’t mean to over-hype it, truly it’s no big deal.  But it was fun (although a long day) and Mason had a great time.  Below are some photos from the day.

Above: Mason met all of the Looney Tunes characters, including Sylvester (who in my opinion was the nicest and best “in-character” person.  He was loads of fun and kept the kids entertained, even though that wasn’t part of his job that day.)

Mason “acting” on set.  Which basically consisted of him having fun riding their new rides.

Acting consists of a lot of “hurry up and wait”.  We sent 10 hours hurrying up, in order to wait for things to start.  The actual “acting” parts lasted for about 20 minutes each 7 times.  And 3 out of the 7 times were for the leads only, so it was about 1.5 hours out of 10 hour day that he was filmed.

Update: This is the completed video released by Six Flags Over Texas.  If you pause the video at :17 and :18 on the time bar, you can see Mason in the front airship with his arms raised.
